Talk Fantasy Football

Hi all!

Inspired by this thread viewforum.php?f=20 and a lifelong interest in Duchanp's "readymades" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Readymades ... el_Duchamp). I decided to make team out of found objects or figures.

After a trip to my local 99p store. I managed it. And cheap too!

Total cost was under £3 (two sets of figures at 99p each, some old square bases I'd never use, some small rocks and paint that I already had.

So without further ado (and tongue firmly in cheek), I give you my chaos team -

The Justified Ancients of Moo-Moo!




Chaos Warriors - Igor, Frankey, Chompy and Glorby.


Beastmen - Campy, Guinny and Bunny


Beastmen - Hip-Hop, Chicky and Sharky


And last but not least, the teams minotaur, captain and high priest - Cow.






I would just like to point out that I didn't choose the names, each character had it's own name already. Though I am really sorry I didn't get the giraffe, his name was Giry Joe!

And no, I have no intention of ever playing this team, so relax! I only did this purely for s**ts and giggles.

Hope this has given some of you a laugh.

Not keen tbh, at least with the majority of lego teams it's easy to see what's what.

Very funny, but I wouldn't like to play against them at all, since there's no way telling what they represent.

Paint the base edges with Red for the CW's and Green for the Mino and I'd play against them...

Thanks for the replies, but i honestly thought what they were was kinda obvious.

The beastmen are all animals (i'm pesonally loving the seahorse beastman). The chaos warriors are kinda monstery looking (at least, none of them are real world animals). And the minotaur is a cow, it even has horns (plus it's on a bigger base)!

Maybe it's just me.

Painting and modelling isn't for everyone, you know. Cheap and easy alternatives should be open to one and all! Plus, bonus points for originality.

How do you show the prone/stunned difference?

They are as good as any LEGO team... (runs for cover).

They're on square bases so face down / prone should be easy!!

Theres nothing better than seeing 2 well painted teams on the pitch, but when it comes down to it I want the world playing Bloodbowl and if this adds another potential opponent to the list then I like it!!

Might suggest the base colour thing but apart from it, just wish I had more ppl willing to play no matter what they would use....

And Glorby is surely the best name a chaos warrior has ever had.

I see your point, but I would still make a lot of mistakes; to me, they're much more similar (tiny funny creature-thingies) than diggerent (this little thingy is a horsey, this little thingy is a whatsit), especially in a half-dark pub, which is where I tend to play my games.

But I #d the idea of basecolours to distinguish them, that done, I'd be delighted to play against them!
