Talk Fantasy Football

Hi all
I would like to advice you that a new Kickstarter Project is running for a brand new line of miniatures suitable for Fantasy Football and skirmish wargames: the Dwarven Gladiators. Miniatures will be casted in resin in 28-30mm scale and fully compatible with all the major fantasy wargames and boardgames. Will be released also alternative arms, helms to customize your team.

Here below you can see the concepts and how the Fantasy Football team will be composed. Also at the bottom there are the first two miniatures released so far and the Star Player only available for the funders of the Kickstarter.

Very cool, but as much as I love the theme Minotaurs have got to have hooves and not feet in my opinion. I understand that you are probably going for that gladiator Minotaur look, similair to that scene in Time Bandits but it is very far from my taste. Everything else concidered these are pretty cool, maybe a little light armoured for dwarves but hey, naturally high constitiution works wonders for the litttle guys.
May back these if decide I want to beat the crap into my soon to start Skaven heavy league.

Well in ancient Greek mythology the Minotaur was portrayed as a man with the head of a bull, sometimes with a tail. So it is more accurate they have feet to fit the theme of the team since Minotaurs with hooves are a more modern addition.

One thing I'd like to see is face masks and beards, all the drawings and sculpts have either a bare head or the beard covered by the mask. In the video there is a dwarf gladiator at 0:15 with a beard and sword who looks awesome.

Yeah, is that gonna be produced? It's not in the picture of the team.

All the gladiators will have two alternate heads, at least one will be with beard.
About the Gladiators on the video, some are on the base box some others will be produced only if the Kickstarter goal will reach a good level.
On the Kickstarter there's also a link to the concept that will be released as Stretching Goals awards.
It's going very well so far, it's almost at 60% of the base goal!

about the Minotaur, yes I've drawn the sketch thinking to the Greek mithology, so human feet seemed to me a must

More dwarves. How exciting. Still a kickstarter l don't have to worry about.

I like a lot the idea, but I would prefer Human Gladiators.

We have concept and idea since 2008 on the Dwarf Gladiator:




We was working to restyle the Legio Dwarf team, our team since 2005.

In future we will release the new Legio ... be clear.

Some really nice figures in this project, and some of the stretch goals are fantastic ...
