Thinning GW Shades

Hi

Does anyone know whether the new range of GW shades can be thinned with water or does this affect their ability to "flow". I want to wash my figure with Nuln Oil but I'm a bit nervous to just splosh it on straight from the pot!

Many thanks

Yes they can be thinned with water.
Be careful not to dilute too much though, or you will break the surface tension and lose the properties of the wash, ie: it'll stain and leave tide marks as it dries, rather than sitting in deep areas and creating shade.
You'll see on the pallette when the tension breaks.

Personally I use Vallejo washes, same thing but cheaper and more consistent quality.

Both GW and Vallejo washes can be used straight from the pot though. In this they differ from paint and ink.
