Not really my cup of tea. i already have a 2nd ed elf team clearly the 'insperation' of this team. what i would like is for all sculptors to come up with their own creations, no more copies please. also please make all positionals clearly different, meant to be 3 catchers on this team but i cant guess who the 3rd is. also no more single standing leg poses.

What he said. Clearly a rip of the Jes Goodwin Elves. Not for me.

But if you dont own a 2ed team and dont want to spend days on ebay this is a good option

Some of the models are excelent, namely the first ones released.

But the rest of the team are horribly skinny and lacking in any detail. Looks to me very much like the sculptor got bored.

Shame, because there are no decent elf teams out there. I'll stick with my plan to convert Harlequins.

I don't mind them, but they're clearly inferior to Jes Goodwin's 24 year old models. I've no idea why you'd want to fork out for these when you can get the classics on ebay cheaper!

This is exactly the way I felt about this team. Especially the very weedy looking ones, way too skinny.

Now you are trolling at meiko? at the end it will be true that people in this forum don't like spanish miniatures ;)

By the way, I completely agree with you. Meiko is releasing greate minis, but those elfes are not good stuff.

I bought the meiko ogres - superb. But I agree that these wood elves are a bit of a let down. Can't someone do some well proportioned GW 1990s style male/some female wood elves with all different linemen given how many you use with a strong woodland theme, i.e. little forest creatures everywhere. I think someone like Ramos or Raffaele Stumpo (toning down scale a bit like his pact) could do it. The gaspez and now meiko elves are too static and spindly and the faces are very rushed sculpting wise. A missed opportunity given the talent around...or a great idea for someone else on kickstarter. Or maybe even an Avatar style team but not giants of course. They are woodland, but blue :)

The thing that I love about 2nd ed teams is that the different positions are all easily identifiable by their siloette, I just wish that more independent sculptors would realise that .

Take this team, minis numbered from top left to right. Number 1 and 9 are throwers (pointing), Mini 3 and 7 Classic wardancer/blitzer, number 4 and 10 are standard lineman poses. 11 and 12 are the catchers, though mini 12 is going to snap off the base as soon as you paint it and then never going to be used again as ankle is way to thin to pin.

That leaves 2,5,6 and 8. One is a catcher and the others are linemen .... hmmm we have 3 in skipping poses, one of which is armoured the same as the wardancers, the other 2 are really similar other than a visor and raised fist? So which is the catcher?

I love that there are a ton of options available from independent sculptors, I just wish these guys would realise that this is a board game and as such the gaming pieces need to be easily identifiable.

The slim models are supposed to be the strenght 2 positionals.

If you say so.

Personally if I wanted such skinny, undetailed mini's, I'd buy them from Dixon or Old Glory for 99p. Not from Comixininos for £5.
