Vamp team - Thrall WIP on p3

Post by Norse »

hi guys,

I'm almost done with my Underworld Team, so am about to embark upon my next project of teams I will either never use or never win with - Vampires..

normally I have a really good idea of where I want to go with my teams, both in terms of name and "look" - but not this time..

looking for suggestions on both cool/funny names and also uniform ideas - I'll be converting the thralls from flagellants and using Gaspez Vamps if that helps.. I don't really want to go down the black/red route if I can avoid it..

thx!

R

I'm thinking a crusaders/ religious theme. With holy warriors or bishops and religious believers as thralls, maybe a little deranged like the guy in The DaVinci Code. Colors would be white-ish and gold + blood.

2. idea: medical theme with surgeons and doctors and victims! :)

unless you use snakees idea, best one so far, maybe go with white and red? Think of it as more a crusader with reformed vampires on the team?

Paint the team in greyscale as if stepping straight from a black and white movie. Names based on old school vamps and actors.

I know its no de rigeur to talk about the Cyanide game, but I really like the look of their vamps with smoked glass spectacles. I would go for a pastel blue and black scheme myself.

I'm also wondering what colour to paint the vampires' skin, as, to a certain extent, this will drive what I want to paint the cloth and armour.. if I go with greyish skin, I'll want to avoid greys and blacks on the clothing, if I go with blueish skin etc etc...

the thralls will be regular humans in effect (but with hobgob stat lines.. )

I've always thought white and purple would look good for vampires, with less purple on the thralls and more scruffy armour. It fits my idea that the preening vamps would take the purple for vanity sake (it's evocative of royalty and status; a kind of old money feel), with the purity of the white an (unintentional, from the vamp's view) irony to set it off.

Naming wise, a quick glance at the warhammer map gives me "Rubin Karak", "Dynamo Brovska" and "Sparta Praag". Any of those jump at you?

Shouldn't vamps have Brettonian (spit!) names, coming from Moussilion?
Or is that old retconned fluff?
