Chaos Team - The Bloody Hand

Post by nonumber »

So besides a couple of bases as you can see in the picture, my Chaos Team "The Bloody Hand" is pretty much finished.

Overall I've got mixed feelings about it because my painting skills although far from Golden Demon quality are capable of more than this. The lazyness just hit me after the wash stage and I felt it was far enough to get away with. I figured I'd still post them though since I've never done so here with any of my other teams before.

The Mino is made using the GW Chaos Spawn kit which is a lovely kit that holds plenty of mutations and in fact enough to create both a Minotaur like monster and a Beast of Nurgle quite comfortably. There are a few unboxing videos on youtube if you're interested in possibly using that set in future.

Although I'm not 100 percent happy with the outcome, I'm still looking forward to using this team at a few tournies this year and hopefully clawin' stuff up real good.

'nother pic. This Beastman I think is my favourite because the pose came out pretty well.

I wouldn't worry about how they look. They are good to go.

They do look nice!
The use of the spawn sprue to build both BG sounds interesting!

Btw I've been away from gw stores for a while, are those their 'new' bestigors?
How about the CW's are they GW too?
Cheers!

The Chaos Warriors are the finecast "Chaos Chosen Command", I made a separate thread about "my first finecast experience" and overall it was a pleasure to work with. The Chosen actually come without cloaks which was why I went for them, although if I were to do it again I would probably go for a regular rank of Chosen rather than the command rank.

The beastmen are the current GW bestigors, yeah. They have more armour than the regular gors which make them a little more bloodbowl-ey. They have two handed weapons so you have to mix up the arms a little bit to get different poses.

Great kitbash, really like the team and the colors. What did you use for the counts-as-minotaur demon? That would be great as a bloodthirster for Khorne rosters, too.

The mino was made from the GW chaos spawn kit. It's the model I'd paint again if I could, and I may yet strip him down and start over. I really don't know why I actually painted him red, rather than browns and tans that would make him more of a hulking mutated Beastman rather than a Demon per se.
