Painted the better part of the first lino last week, and also did two of his leapy friends for a bit.
At first I gave them red eyes but it didn't work, they're green now and that looks much better.
Still quite a bit of work to do though, numbers, highlighting the black in a better way, get rid of tiny mistakes, base and eyes (pupils and stuff)
first some picts of the frog that's nearest to completion:
then two of his palls on the LOS:

there's a few things I'm still considering:
1) the eyes: vertical or horizontal slits, or just enormous pupils?
2) the straps: keep them black or make them white (bone)?

The eyes, horizontal
The reason:
This:
is commonly associated with frogs whereas vertical:
is commonly associated with a different animal.
Even though this guy:
also has them

I know .. but there's this as well:
I think I'll go with rather large, horizontal ones

Id go white for the straps, and horizontal for the eyes like Grey Matter from Ben 10
Cool scheme so far Dave.

When painting my slann I decided to challenge myself and paint one of the more complex frog eyes=
Also, eye-dea for the head coach. =

horizontal slits, but the eyes are still too dark Dave, you need to highlight them up to neon green/yellow IMHO..

Pretty cool but the flesh is a bit flat. Considering almost all the mini is flesh how about some tattos or warpaint?
Green or magenta would make a nice contrast colour.
That means it you put some on the fig the head probably ought to end up as the focal point.

Really like the blue skin and the contrast with the orange. Has anyone ever given their frogs a thing coat of gloss varnish on the skin to represent the 'sheen' you see on real frog skin?

They remind me of 'Battle Toads' and that can only be a good thing!

Something like this could break up the blue´ishness on those toads:

Don't you think that slann should be allowed to ignore pouring rain on the kick off table.
Not bad Dave, a little more depth in shading. Break up the blue, maybe make the stomach and chest much lighter and add colour to the back. Careful how you do those eyes.
