My brother's Wood Elf Team

Post by Sir-Skofis »

This Blood Bowl team has been made almost entirely by my brother using 6th Warhammer Fantasy Wood Elf Glade Guard miniatures and an old 4th or 5th edition Warhammer Fantasy Treeman.

The players of the team are:

1 Wood Elf Thrower made with a 6th edition glade guard, a copy of our custom made ball and some putty for the shoulder pads, the throwing hand and to cover the hole in the back.

2 Wood Elf Catchers made also with some glade guard miniatures. My brother add a catching glove with putty and change the position of the legs so they appear to be running.

7 Wood Elf Linemen, to those ones my brother added the shoulder pads and also a little facial protection.

2 Wood Elf Wardancers made with 6th edition wood elf glade guards and some sculpted pointy hair. The hair is sculpted on top of a piece of plasticard.

1 Treeman that was left almost an altered, my brother only add a shoulder pad.

Hope you like it!

That's a really nice team. Some things look a little odd to me. The Wardancer hair might be reaching Troll Slayer height, and even though he took the time to sculpt stuff onto these models, there is a really visible mold line in the throwers hair, right in front of the tip of the ball.

Excellent paint job especialy on treeman.

Only two remarks on convertion:
- receivers look realy srtange the way they turn their head
- war dancer hairs are way too huge and thick... It's like a parody of a war dancer.

I realy appreciate the huge amount work you've done to make convertion.

I really like the job you did on this team. As for the WD to be a parody, i like this too and i am a big fan of the parodic aspect of the game.

You're quite right with the mold line and I have pass your message but he sais that as they are already painted he is going to leave it like that until he repaint the team. He is now repainting some of his warhammer fantasy armies.

About the hair that some of you think is too big he tried to do it similar to the one of the female wardancers from the cyanide game that is also quite big:
