The Ingolstadt Immortals

Post by Pitch Invader »

My latest team, a combo Undead / Necromantic team, coached by Victorc Frankenstein. He has a team of undead orcs & goblins.

This is possibly the most awesome-est team that I've ever seen and it makes me sad that I don't own a team even a quarter as awesome as this and that I can't convert and paint as awesomely as you :(

CURSE YOU AND YOUR TALENT, PITCH INVADER!!!!

Dfunk.

Is this like the 4:th team this week you have finished? They all looks great but I specially like this undead/ork theme.

I just wonder, is the team really finished? It doesnt take that many models to make it a 3-way nekro/undead/ORK team! Just 2 more St4, 2 more blitzers and maybe some sort of "troll" and its done.

Thanks all, much appreciated! and no sann, never get tired of hearing it :orc:

Lard: it's the 4th team finished in 3 weeks (?) or so. one team haven't shown yet- it's a client's team and I'm waiting on 2 more minis to arrive so can paint them to join the team, then show them to the client before posting anywhere. The Titan Forge minis are pretty expensive, so making it expand out to be an orc team too would be possible, but more money than I wanted to spend, especially since I have an orc team already that I'm happy with. It could be fun though- something to consider expanding some day in the future.

Dfunk" thanks! high praise :D well, no worries, I take commissions

Swarley: I did consider those. But I have a goal to have all 24 teams. I don't know how long it will take, and I know I will end up with more than 24 because I can't resist having a couple of the same race because I like some different minis too much to not have both ..like I will end up with 2 skaven teams (one 2nd ed GW, one a neomics/impact hybridteam) and I have minis for a chaos dwarf team to convert, but the new willy chaos dwarf team looks like I won't be able to resist those either. Anyway, so I want the 24 and had this idea planned for Undead but a very different theme for Necromantic planned (already have the minis assembled, just need to paint) so the wolves were an after thought. I only included them because I figured why not, it was only 2 minis and the reaper bones wolves I could get both for $3 total. The Titan forge orc werewolves are pretty cool, but look to be very large as large as those frankenorcs I'm using for mummies.. so they could be strength 5 or a large strength 4, but massive for strength 3. and the price.. think the set is $25 euros for the 3 that was just more than I wanted to spend for minis I might not ever use since I have another Necro team planned. If they'd had a bit more snout to their face I might not have been able to resist. But yeah, even with all that I was still tempted.

Thanks sir Skofis :orc:

I know what you mean. To many posible Teamoptions, to many cool Miniatures and far too little Money. And yes, the Chaos Dwarves from Willy, are ine Team that i would realy have in my Showcase. But first i musst finished my Savage Orc Team aka Norce Team. Inspired from you i choose to make 2 Teams in one. I wish i could paint as fast, as you!

Swarley: Savage Orc Norse sounds awesome :orc:

Well, I'm already expanding the team. I decided they need a Hack Enslash.

I remembered that I did have another resin goblin skeleton from the Titan Forge set, I decided my Ingolstadt Immortals should have another Star Player!

This Goblin Skeleton has a more elaborate helmet, with a bat crest, which I didn't favor compared to the bare skull skeletons, so I originally skipped using him, figuring I didn't need more than 6 linemenish players.

Plus, his arm was heavily integrated with a thick shield and I didn't want to do the work ;) But deciding on the Chainsaw Star Skellie meant that a fancy helmet was appropriate, and I'd just have to deal with the extra arm carving.

Are the orc skulls scratch built or from somewhere? I mate has a NecrOrcmantic team, and is looking at converting a Orc-Khemri one.

Very, very nice.

Thanks Doowa!

Darkson: not positive which skulls you mean, but

everything except the werewolves are from Titan Forge.. except the bits of the pom-pom & chainsaw, and some armor plates which are scratch built. the orc skulls that are their heads and the orc skulls glyphs on the belly plates are from the original titan forge minis. the skulls on the ground are part of the resin bases, but those look to be human skulls.
