Looking for elves or Skaven
Hi all,
I need some advice from the BB community. Which are the best Skaven or Elf minis (for woodies probably) available?
Thanks
Doc

GW 2nd edition for Skaven.
GW 2nd edition for Elves.
Sorry to all my independent figure maker friends, but none of you have surpassed them.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Yep, GWs 2nd ed elves and Skaven are imo some of, if not the best BB teams you can get.

Re: Looking for elves or Skaven
tastes vary of course, but my favorites are:
Skaven: GW 2nd ed. & Neomics Rats
Wood Elves: hard call.. honestly I'm not really thrilled about any of the wood elves out. GW 2nd ed elves don't really say 'wood elf' to me, but I've seen them done convincingly as wood elves, so they might be the best. I have some, but plan to make them my (pro)Elf team. Wood elves I'd be tempted to heavy kit bash from plastics or do a 'counts-as' re-skinning with something other than elf miniatures.

To be fair, both were sculpted by Jes Goodwin, who is IMO the best mini designer on the planet. There are lots if talented 3rd party designers, but for Elves and Skaven, the bar has already been set very, very high.el Superbeasto wrote:True dat!Darkson wrote:GW 2nd edition for Skaven.

Re: Looking for elves or Skaven
In all honesty, I don't particularly care for most Skaven blood bowl figs. They all seem too static to represent the lithe, nimble, rats. As such I much prefer custom built models based off of the crypt ghoul figures by GW.
As for elves, I think the last version of pro elves manufactured by GW, not sure which edition they are considered, are pretty good figures, though some of their poses are kind of dumb.
