The New yOrc Jetz

A while ago I started an Orc team using GW plastics. Minus a couple of sideline staff and stars this is the result:

Numbers 1, 2 & 3, two Goblins and the Thrower.

Numbers 4 & 5, 6 & 7. The Black Orcs.

Numbers 8 & 9, 10 & 11. The Blitzers.

Number 12. The Troll.
Well, not so much a Troll as a Black Orc on a Boar. I spent ages looking for a troll I wanted to use, and eventually settled on this. I think it fits well enough.

Numbers 13 & 14, 15 & 16. The Linemen.

And that's it for now.

Thanks for looking!

Very nice indeed Jon!

Orc on a boar for the troll - very original. Love it!

Amazing.... May I ask you what's your recipe for orc skin?

Foundry Moss 29A, B and C, with purple and brown shading and pale human flesh for hilights on the faces (Foundry Flesh 5C).

I use Foundry paint exclusively, plus inks and washes from Vallejo and additional washes from Army Painter.

My god, they're beautiful. The shading/highlighting is incredibly smooth, and the level of detail is mind-boggling. I'd be afraid to play with them, in case I messed up the paint jobs!

This team is really inspiring... I'll never get my lines as neat as yours, but your highlighting technique is exactly what I inspire to.

The things i mostly admire about this team other than the painting, which is outstanding as others have already said, is the level of work gone into all the prep work, i mean removing all the mold lines, going that extra mile. they look like a Blood Bowl team and not just a bunch of Orks who forgot their bolters and choppers (nice how you done the fists BTW).

Might have to make me an Orc team now too :orc:

A beautiful team. Excellent color selection, and your modeling and conversions are outstanding. Looking forward to seeing the stars and sideline figs.

Again, well done.

An absolutely stunning looking team all round! Really beautiful.

I don't have the time, patience and, more importantly, ability to ever produce something like that but would love to watch a video tutorial of your technique if you ever make/have made one.

Thanks guys, glad you like them.

I don't do anything clever enough to warrant video tutorials, there are much better painters out there than me who do such things that you can really learn stuff from.

I look at teams like this and find that I actually get discouraged from painting mine. This is amazing!

And as a (beleaguered) Jets fan, I heartily approve of the theme! May I ask what the players' names are?

Fantastic looking team, i wouldn’t normally associate green, yellow and white with Orcs but it works great on them and a lovely paint job.

Can’t wait to see a full team photo.
