FF Fields - warped pieces?

Hi all,
I have had my FF Fields jigsaw pitch for a couple of years now, but sadly left it in my bag in the car on a hot Perth summers day and it is warped. Not warped to the extent that it doesn't sit flat, but some of the tabs don't fit anymore
The tabs and slots appear fine (flat, not twisted, androughly the same size) but no amount of force or persuasion gets them to slot together. Any ideas on potential fixes? I have thought about filing them down slowly to get them to fit but wondering if anyone else has experienced this?
