Questions on Black Scorpion Elves and Meiko Nurgle

Post by Chaos Dwarf »

I have a couple questions for the community about some teams that are out there and hoping that someone has the answer for me.

1. I like the look of the Black Scorpion elf team with the exception of the blitzer hair. I've not seen the back of the models to see how easy it would be to do a head swap. My concern is the worlds largest Mohawk is molded into the back requiring cutting and green stuff to remove. Anybody have any good pictures of the backs of the models or testimonials of removing the hair would be great.

2. I'm looking around for Nurgle Warriors and I rather like the Meiko rotter warriors. I've used one of their ogres before and thought it seemed to work scale size and the sculpting was good. Could anybody tell me if they would fit in scale wise with the GW pestigors and Rotters and if the sculpting is good. A picture of scale is always worth a 1000 words if possible.

Thanks to anybody that can help!

I have the Meiko Warriors, and I'd recommend them. Size-wise, they're a couple of mm taller than GW Chaos Warriors, but they're the same scale and don't look out of place alongside GW miniatures at all. The quality is fine too.

I'll see if I can get a photo later.

I know I've seen a photo somewhere of someone who did a conversion of the elf team to a dark elf team. They swapped the heads on the blitzers for some GW dark elf heads, so I'm guess it can be done easily enough.

I'm a British Freebooter, will play for any team including Undead (I have my own Apothecary). Good rates.

Damn, that's a lot of hair! Looks possible but it could get messy. Thanks for the picture.

I played against (and lost to) Lard from Sweden and his Dark Elves at the World Cup.

He had done headswaps on the Black Scorpion elves so that they had 40K eldar heads or something. If you can get him to post pictures, the BS elves looked amazingly good with those heads.
