Does anyone have a source for balls with hands?
That would make my life of converting minis to thowers a lot easier.

I already found something but...

At about 8 € per Set of which I'd only use 2 parts, it's pretty expensive.

So anyone know about some other source?
My GS versions tend to be way to large and I can't sculpt a hand to save my life.

Human plastic throwers have been a source of hands for me over the years. The fact that you end up with two spare throwers if accumulating the plastic sprues for a full human team means there should be some out there for you :)

alas, my spares are already utilised.

Couldn't even find one miniature on ebay.
And I need quite a couple of them!

I just contacted tabletop-art.eu and asked about just buying the hands I need.
Unfortunately, the set is one sprue and therefore no parts from the set can be sold separately.
He offered me a 30 % discount if I took 10 sets but that would still mean, I'd have to pay 2,64 € per throwers hand as I have no use for the rest.
Dammit! :pissed:

Maybe you should ask someone to split it with you.

Great idea, I just can't think of anyone who is interested in buying 60 catcher hands!

Those balls looks way to big for the hands.

Could you not go down the classic route of 1 hand pointing and the other an open palm? Alternatively have a hand with the ball held against the throwers hip.

Open palm is quite hard to achieve as the right hand is the weapons hand with most miniatures.
And you didn't seem to get my point...
It's not about the positioning of said hand, it's the fact that I DON'T HAVE and hands with the ball in the first place.
And no, I couldn't GS one to save my life. Absolutely no talent whatsoever.

I actually have a problem sculpting a symmetric ball... Once that's there, you can sculpt the flat hand onto that. I'm learning as I go, though :)

This is what happens when I'm trying to sculpt.
Balls bigger than torsos, hands just some flat blob...
And those weren't first attempt either!

I really have no artistic talent at all, see the paintjob.
I couldn't make a drawing to save the world.

Sculpting really is not an option for me.
