Hi everybody!
just one little question:
i'm going two play with my lizard team against a welf team and i will get 2 handicap rolls.
Let's suppose i roll 52 on the handicap table.
my opponent has 13 players, among which 1 niggling and 1 Treeman. These two players are part of the 11 worst players of the welf team based on SPPs.
If the opposing coach fails his niggling and take root rolls, will he be allowed to field the 11 remaining players, or 10 players (the niggling player can be replaced?) or 9 players (none can be replaced).
In fact, what is the order of resolution for this handicap?
Another quick question: can a wizard be used from the endzones or only from the sidelines (not sepaking of corners...).
Thanks
handicap result 11

No, the "worst players" mean the worst players in the reserve box at the start of the match.
So the sequence is:
1. Roll Handicap
2. Roll Niggling
3. Roll Take Roots
4. Both teams put their teams into the reserve Box
5. resolve remaining handicap results (like worst 11 players etc.)
6. set up your team on the pitch

Thanks for the reply, although i do not agree with the take root roll.
if the big guy had been a bonehead or any other, he would have been on the pitch no matter what.
with the take root, it allows the opposing coach to place one of his best players, the treeman still being on the roster (which is obviously not the case for the niggled player).
but OK. I hope he won't fail his niggle and take root roll (first time i come to this kind of thought).
What about the wizard? any suggestion?

The wizards can be used from the sidelines as well. This in fact only concerns the lightning bolt as a fireball or a zap spell occurs on the pitch itself no matter where the wizard is placed. With a lightning bolt the wizard is put ANYwhere next to the picth and the lightning bolt template is used.
Hope it helps. Please read LRB page 27 very carefully and it will be clear to you!
