Frenzy question
I always read the description of frenzy to mean that you have to follow up if you push back your opponent, regardless of whether they also fall over, and regardless of whether it is on the first or second block.
However, recently in a table top league, other players have had other interpretations such as:
1)if you knock them over, it doesn't count as them being pushed back.
2) if you knock them over on the first block, you don't follow up, since you don't even use the frenzy skill.
I think they are wrong, but I was wondering what everyone else thinks.

Re: Frenzy question
Using the Frenzy skill is not optional, so it's follow up every time.gold_penguin wrote:2) if you knock them over on the first block, you don't follow up, since you don't even use the frenzy skill.

well I didn't mind so much that he wasn't following up, since it was with a minotaur with piling on, and he had a stiletto from a handicap roll...
so you may be able to tell that from his interpretation of the rules, and the fact that he only piled on once the whole game that this guy wasn't a great player.... in fact I was a little disappointed to win by only 2-0.

Re: Frenzy question
LRB pp11 POW result "The defending player is pushed back and thengold_penguin wrote:1)if you knock them over, it doesn't count as them being pushed back.
knocked down in the square they are moved to. The attacking player may follow up the defender. field."
So you have to follow.
LRB pp35 Frenzy skill description "A player with Frenzy must always follow an opponent up if they push them back."gold_penguin wrote:2) if you knock them over on the first block, you don't follow up, since you don't even use the frenzy skill.
It does not say, if you choose to use frenzy, it says you must.
Hope that helps convince your coaches.

Sorry to bring this topic back ... but shouldn't this be re-worded somehow?
