A field which contains the ball- "empty field" ?

Post by millimil »

Hi,

quick question. :D
If you can choose to "side step" or push an opponent. Is a field containing the ball like a really empty square ? (in other words, can you choose to take the ball-field instead the "empty" field ? You could take the ball with side step or make the ball scatter again, after a block/blitz...)

Cheers,

For push purposes a square with the ball lying on the ground is considered empty and you may push the opponent on it, resulting in a scatter.

About side step I'm not sure but I'd say yes (in order to have consistent rules) but it woukld also scatter (so no pick up try after side stepping)

Exactly what narcotic said ... but to nitpick, the ball does not scatter, it bounces :)

*ducks*

Oh, thanx for the quick replies.

OK, here we are:

-You can freely choose to push the opponent after the block on an empty square or an square occupied of the ball

-You can use side-step to enter a square containing the ball, but can´t pick it up

Right ?

absolutely. unless you go into the square on your own, you don't get a chance to pick up the ball.
