Well Leader has gone through a number of changes. When the ally rules came out in the mag, you had the ridiculous rule that a Questing Knight playing for a Human team couldn't use his own Leader reroll - but his team mates could.

So for me, a Leader should be able to inspire all players on his team.... including Big Guys and himself.

If a Leader cannot do this then the skill should be thrown in the bin.

Dave

PS... just in case I am not advocating the re-introduction of allies or the 7439 Block, SF, Leader version of the Questing Knight........

It should definitely be possible to use Leader on Big Guys. It makes perfect sense - even if the team training doesn't help the big bastards, a great leader should be able to get the idiot moving or doing something. Or even inspire him to succeed in something.

Absolutely. Just not on the Bonehead/Really stupid/wild animal etc. rolls. Why? they're being to thick/wild to listen. This is not something that you can shout at someone about. Trust me - I coach american football, and I know sure as hell I have a few Boneheads on my team...

It doesn't matter what you think makes sense or not. The rules say that a leader reroll is treated just like a team reroll, so it is. End of discussion.

If you want it changed, talk to the BBRC about it. In the meantime, big guys can't use a leader reroll.

It would be, yes. (In my defence, a good proportion of my team are in their first year at the u19 level, and our opponents had no less than 4 junior international players, who've been playing senior level all summer. We have one such player, who got injured on the first drive. We were substituting in guys completely out of position by necessity. That, and we have a couple of guys who make Trolls look like Nobel prize laureates.)

I'm flattered you thought to check our progress though....note the banner on the first page!

If the rules were so clear, we wouldn't be having this debate... it goes back to something like the discussion on the meaning of "may".
I think we all just have to do it the way we like until a better worded version of the rules come out.
