Strip ball

The text for strip ball reads that the ball lands in the square the player holding the ball was pushed to. Does the ball immediately scatter, or does that player have a chance to pick up the ball if he is not prone?

That's what I thought, but it doesn't explicitly say, want to avoid any arguments.

Easy way to do it is just scatter from where he ends up. They just worded it funny in LRB
