Apothecary healing Crowd casualties...

I do :D In our league we only allow star players as one match inducements and it works well. we've been playing some pre league non spp/gold etc matches to test out our teams (as some of us have changed to teams we've never played with before) and it seems to be going well and has thrown up a few questions reguarding Vampires which I've posted elsewhere in the RQ topics.

Not the way we play it. The re-roll on apoth is at coaches risk which means they can actually inflict greater injuries and players have to think whether or not to take the gamble. Makes it a tougher choice! :wink:

I still think regardless of the way we play it the apoth only get a re-roll now, its not any easier second time around and just as risky as the first roll. Unlike in LRB 4 where it was easier to heal with a apoth. :-?

Its a narrow minded argumaent to state the games gone soft based on a trial rule change that will allow the apoth to re-roll an injury caused by the occasional crowd push with as much chance of re-rolling an equally damaging result.

I will agree a more logical path based on the some skills being a lotr weaker than before (DP/MB/Claws) but these were in my mind unbalanced before and fit better now. As compensation theres other skills such as wrestle, sneaky git & piling on to deal out more punishment. :evil:

As I said I have no problem with it being changed, everyones entitled to their own opinion though! :D

I like the way the new Apoth rules work... had a player just badly hurt and need them to fill their position on the next drive, use the Apoth.... any badly hurt roll allows them to go back into the reserves box... good times!
although using the apoth at the wrong time can be disasterous as I found out at my peril when I used him on my troll instead of waiting and trying to regen him and then my incredible orcy thrower (23 completions, AG4, Strong Arm, Accurate) got KILLED!! WAH!!
