Team re-roll during opo's turn?

Post by Aliboon »

Can you use it, say to re-roll an interception?

I was always sure it was only just skill re-rolls you could use, but the wording in LRB5 is a little ambiguous.

A coach may use a team re-roll to re-roll any dice roll (other than Armour, Injury or Casualty rolls) made by a player in their own team and who is still on the pitch during their own turn (even if the dice roll was successful).
The bolded part shows why you cannot re-roll an interception.

Cheers, that's what I thought.

It's the "who is still on the pitch" bit which may make people think that a player could use it during the other team's turn, as long as they are still on the pitch during their own turn. But actually thinking about it, this 2nd reading of it really makes no sense...

That's a legitimate interpretation of the English if the sentence were in a vacuum. But I agree with you, it's quite clear in context.

Still, I have seen stupider things argued in league matches :)
