Newb Fan Factor question

Post by Frosty »

Just played my first league game of BB last night (my Orcs got beat 3-1 by Undead but I still had fun!)

I came away with no injuries (thank goodness) & have 40,000 to spend..

Can I buy addtitional Fan Factor after a game? (I currently have FF0 & everyone else in the league seems to have at least FF2)

If so does it increase in price like re-rolls or is it still just 10,000 per FF?

Cheers

Frosty

Lauth is right, FF can only go up, now, by tieing or winning games....

So in hindsight it makes sense to have a higher FF in a league so you can get more money faster and get your roster filled out before those damn spiraling expenses nails you!

True, but the impact of FF on winnings is small in LRB5 - you´ll get +10k for each FAME modifier you got at the start of the match, which is +20k max.

You're playing the numbers game:

FF + 2-12, trying to tie/beat your opponent's roll....

I've started with anywhere from 0-2 FF in the beginning.... Persistent winning has raised one team to FF 13!

The best way to get a higher FF is to win. You can buy lots of FF early-on, and it will help early-on. But depending on your win/loss rate, your FF will end-up hovering somewhere between 6 and 13 (or something like that), no matter where your FF started.
