Deary, deary me....

TBH, if someone is petty enough to try this argument they really arent worth playing against. The intention of the rule is obvious, it's only a sad power gamer who would want to twist it to their own advantage. If someone was to start an argument like this while me or any of my mates were playing them they'd first be laughed at then asked to leave

I'm bringing this up with the rest of the BBRC as we speak. We did have the "Each Skill Once Per Action" paradigm in mind as we wrote the rules (you'll see this reflected in limitations on dodge, sure feet, frenzy, etc.), but it was my understanding that it was just a theory and was not going to be explicitly written into the rules. For what it's worth, the rule was only ever intended to cover skill use by an active player -- even under Jervis' 4th Edition rules, inactive players were allowed to use their skills as often as they wanted.

We're in the final stages of the 2002 Rules Review -- I think just wrapping up a few loose ends and waiting for the Fanatic boys to get everything in PDF form. I will say that this year's rules review is nowhere near as sweeping as last years'.
