Mighty blow: Offense only or both offense and defense?

Post by Skipper »

We've been playing mighty blow only works on the offensive side of the ball.....i.e. when my player blocks yours I can use mighty blow if I choose too.

But one of the players recently pointed out the wording of the skill.

Mighty Blow: Add 1 to any armour or Injury roll made by a player with this skill when any opponent is knocked down by this player during a block. ......................

This seems to indicvate that if the player with mighty blow is blocked by another player and either a skull (blocker down) or both down is selected, the defending player with mighty blow is able to use this skill.

Is this correct, or is our original assumption correct?

Nope, your origional assumption is wrong (much like mine was for my first couple of games, I'll admit  ).

If your opponent rolls a skull/both down while blocking you, you get to add 1 to the armour/injury roll just as if you'd wolled a pow.

Boy, that sure makes mighty blow a very useful skill.
