Fumble a pass with Diving Catch

Post by stashman »

If your thrower has the Diving catch skill and just happens to roll a 1 and fumble, can he still use Diving catch to catch it. Is it still a pass (can be used with diving catch) or is it a bounce/droped ball (can't be used with diving catch).

As I see it, you can use Diving catch to prevent a turnover.

I'm I right?

fumble isn't a pass, its a dropped/scattered/bouncing ball

so you can't use diving catch on it

even if you could, a fumble is a turnover anyway
