Another Ball and Chain question...

Post by ddancer »

Heya folks,

Another ball and chain question - I recall back in the day that B&C had to move first. I know that's not the case in the current ruleset, however I had a follow up to my previous question on movement.

Does a B&C have to move at all? I understand that if you start a move, you must take all the move squares they are allotted. But can you decide to not move the B&C at all?

Thanks in advance...

as far as i know, there is no reason why you would have to.

of course, i dont have the rules in front of me to double check.

rule says that b&c players can only take move actions.

nowhere it says you have to move...

edith says: but not moving is less fun! :smoking:

I usually always reach for the B&C guy first, just in case I get a bad roll elsewhere and don't get to use him as he's sooo much fun.
But I definitely agree looking at the rules, there's nothing to say you must use him in your turn.

Besides, what if he's right where you want him to be? Or if you have a guy in the way and need to move or push.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

As far as I can tell, you don't have to activate him, and the rule specifically cites a Move Action... so, yeah, looks like he can spin in place....

If you're concerned about that yhou're probably not the right person to field secret weapons ;) With the mandatory move you jus had to hope he woul return where he started from. No big deal.

Good point DJ

why activate the player and not throw his automatic str 7 block? you have to move and if you enter an occupied square you auto block str 7 v/s what ever
