A little necrothreading here; but the B&C count stunned results for any injury rolls as KO (there is no injury roll if the apo cures a KO), so he would be placed back stunned on the pitch if you used an apo. However, when you roll him over he will be KO'd again, since if the B&C player is ever knocked down or placed prone you have to make an injury roll and count stunned as KO. So what the apo does is keep the B&C player lying on the pitch for one turn.Darkson wrote:Apoth on a KO leaves the player on the pitch Stunned.
B&C count all Stunned injury results as a KO.
Stunned (even by a Apo cure) is a injury result.
So I change my agreement with Grum - if you use your Apo to cure a KO on the B&C, he's placed back on the pitch Stunned, which means he's then removed to the KO box. So the only thing it achieves is wasting your Apo.

Re: Fanatics and Apothecaries
he has already "survived" being Knocked Down or being placed prone.
In case you are confused about stun: At the end of your player turn, roll all stunned players face up. Once face up he may stand on any subsequent turn. (they are not placed prone just turned face up) (summary from page 11 of the rulebook)
an example of being placed prone would be Wrestle, Piling On, Diving Tackle ...

Does this not end the discussion?Galak wrote:No because as soon as the Apothecary converted the injury to Stunned ... the Ball & Chain effect would convert it again to KO'd.Grumbledook wrote:does the fanatic stay on the pitch or not though

Not necessarily. The rules on this intersection are just too grey for this to have a definite answer.nazgob wrote:Does this not end the discussion?
I still believe in my opinion ... but its just that. I cannot point to a rule that hard and fast makes it 100% a ruling that I'd say is beyond question.
This one ... I leave fully to individually leagues to decide (because I don't see it coming up much).

In the spirit of it, the ball smacks him in the head and KOs him at minimum. Since the ball is not swinging during a foul... THen again the chain could now be used in the foul process to choke him out or the ball to smack him on the head.
My guess would be by the rules that if you foul him he is not placed prone. So you at least have to roll armor for the foul.
LOL
