IIRC he's not been a legit star player sice LRB4 due to GW no longer having licence to use him from Carl Critchlow (his creator - who has granted Heresy miniatures license to produce Thrud mini's.)
Have you tried the Thrud Ball website?!
Their rules are for a wandering Thrud rather than as a single team star player hire. But it makes for interesting (and amusing) gameplay.
