I've never understood the INTs timing rule either. It really doesn't make sense to me and the official Jarvis explanation just seems a fudge and was a poor excuse for a rule he initiated and then was too proud to change.

I can't see what additional problems would arise from doing as is, but rolling for INTs after the pass. Balls that (would/might) scatter off the pitch are deemed to have gone off on the sq it initially scattered off the pitch. Pass block works as usual, the pass blocker anticipates where the pass is meant to go, so even if it scatters off from the intended route and he isn't under the pass/putting the catcher/thrower in a TZ that doesn't matter. The pass blockers team is happy because the pass has gone awry, (most of) the point in having pass block in the first place...

and even less interceptions than we actually have.

in my point of view interceptions have to be boosted, not nerfed. Are already almost a useless rule, up to now.

I think it's the passing game that needs to be boosted. INTs are a fun add on rule, but as most half decent players hardly ever give an INT chance anyway, it doesn't really make much of a difference.

no, but in a lot of cases it forces the passer to take extra risks to avoid the Interception entirely. Extra GFIs, Dodges, longer passes, etc.

And if there's one thing I've learned from this game it's that the more rolls you make your opponent make, the better you'll fair in the long run.
