Well, unless you can remember that Galak made a ruling I'll just play it my way and we will agree to disagree.
It's so rare situation in game that searching through million posts isn't worth it at this point.

Re: Re-rolls and end of turn
I couldn't resist the search!
This covers it (make sure to read to the end because Tom made a mistake and corrected it later). It says that the failed pick up can still result in a TD for the moving player and therefore the turn isn't over yet: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=22916&hilit=Immedi ... r&start=15
Let's still agree to disagree but I'll go with Tom's opinion. Also, I'll admit that if he disagreed with me I would ignore him ha ha.

Re: Re-rolls and end of turn
I wholeheartedly agree with this but agree also that in the severely unlikely event of a touchdown that it would be scored in the team who caused the bounces turn.Greyhound wrote:So you probably saw the last word like I did, dropping the ball, means you suffer a turnover... AND your turn ends immediately. Not just they suffer a turnover, finish up the bounce and everything else, and then later once you cleaned up all the mess you did you can consider ending the turn. The text of the rule stipulates that not only this is a turnover but also the fact that the turns ends at the immediate moment when the player drops the ball.the rule wrote:PICKING UP THE BALL
[...]If the D6 roll is less than the required total, then the player drops the ball, which will bounce one square. If the player drops the ball then his team suffers a turnover and their
turn ends immediately.
I agree they are very clear, they stipulate the immediate end of the turn therefore showing that further rolls cannot use a team RR, which by definition is only used during your turn.Kolja_TBBF wrote:It is clear that what it means is that the coach can't use other players and has to stop the current players Action. Then, since there is nothing left to do, play passes to the other coach. The rules are pretty clear about the proceedure of a turnover.
The Kick Off question that was related to it, catching a kick off. I'd say no re-roll as the clock hasn't started yet so its not your team turn. even if Blitz is rolled the catch occurs before the clock starts which is why no turn markers have been moved. If a touchdown is then scored it is counted as having occurred in the receiving teams turn (otherwise zero turn tds become an unlikely but still possible possibility).

At least that's how i understand it, away to read the directed search and see if my thoughts tally.
