I'd rule it differently. If you fail your block during your "endturn" and the other guy injures the Fanatic, I'd give him the SPP's.
I mean, when you're rolling the dice for him, he plays for you. When your opponent rolls the dice, well, he's your opponent.
Wouldn't be unbalancing either, I think. No?

Re: Goblin Ball and Chain
To gain SPPs from a CAS you must injure an opposing player (as per the rules pg.26 under How to earn Star Player Points / Casualites)

When the other coach plays him, rolls the dice for him and makes choices for him, that's pretty much an opponent.

If you are playing the The Fanatic Invasion Card and you control the fanatic that turn. The fanatic rolls on of your players BUT your player causes a cas on the Fanatic no SPPs are earned. (for your turn he was your "player" not an opposing player as you were controlling him)

There you go. I wouldn't give my guy SPP in that case, cause, just as you said, he's my guy on my turn. So any opposing player injuring him would get 2 SPP in my view.daloonieshaman wrote:If you are playing the The Fanatic Invasion Card and you control the fanatic that turn. Re: Goblin Ball and Chain
Sorry, almost OT: Is it a turnover if the ball & chain knock down one of his teamates (standing or prone) with a block ?

How do you knock a guy down that is already on his back?kage wrote:Sorry, almost OT: Is it a turnover if the ball & chain knock down one of his teamates (standing or prone) with a block ?

This was a question in one of my last games though ... So pretty good that you brought it up.
In case your fanatic injures a player from your own team that was already prone, does this count as a turnover? The turnover section clearly states that you suffer a turnover "when one of the players on the moving team is KNOCKED down".
In my case the fanatic caused a casualty on a goblin from my own team who was prone. Is it a turnover or not? He was not knocked down and the rules say nothing about turnovers whenever a player is injured and carried of the field ...
As my opponent was convinced it was a turnover and I didn't want to argue more, we threw a dice which ruled it was a turnover. I'd like to get a more "official" poit of view on this matter however.

I see no reason why it could be a turnover honestly.Quermitt wrote:How do you knock a guy down that is already on his back?kage wrote:Sorry, almost OT: Is it a turnover if the ball & chain knock down one of his teamates (standing or prone) with a block ?

Re: Goblin Ball and Chain
You don't actually knock him down as he's already down. What your fanatic does do, however, is to advance into his square whilst wielding an uncontrollable ball and chain which has a chance (2D6>7) to break his armour and injure him.Quermitt wrote: How do you knock a guy down that is already on his back?

Re: Goblin Ball and Chain
it is not a turnover, he just gets his arse kicked
(it does not qualify for any of the reasons for a turnover on page 7 of the rulebook)
