Post by Lard »

Hi, the searsh isnt working at the moment so I write my Question here:

If a player have AG 6 and rolls a 3 on a long bomb (no other modifiers), does he succed or fumble?

Fumble.

For passing treat AG6 the same as AG5.

Fumble. 3 -2 = 1 which is always a fumble.

But an AG3 (or even AG1) player with Accurate a roll of 3 would be inaccurate : 3 -2 +1 = 2.

A nice interaction of the rules, making specialist passers better than all-round agile guys in this situation.

So many coaches are caught out by this. IMO AG6 is over rated.

The reason so many coaches are caught out by this is that the rules for picking up the ball, catching and passing (not to mention other AG rolls) are all different. I'm not sure they need to be, but that's how they have been for a long time.

Even now, I get frequent questions in these areas from coaches in my league, including from some of the most experienced. Last question of this kind was during a mini-tournament 3 days ago.

All the best.
