Can Treemen get help standing up?

Post by Malthor »

Hi,

A fellow gamer at fumbbl.com says that he has a copy of the Bloodbowl Handbook published in October 2002, and on page 75 of this book, it says that Treemen can get help getting up.

It is not in the Living Rulebook, I know that, so please don't tell me that!

What I want to know is, does someone else have a copy of the BB Handbook, and if it does say Treemen can get assistance standing up, what status does this have given it is not in the LRB?

Thanks,

Malthor

Don't have the HB handy, but I believe that they receive a +1 to their stand-up roll for every friendly player adjacent to the Treeman (and I think that those players cannot be in an opponent's tackle zone to do so).

The end-zone “line of death” does not discriminate when one tempts fate by using a “go for it” to pass over it.

It was in the 2002 handbook - however, GW removed that rule from the LRB. The LRB is always the most current version of the rules around. So no, treemen do not get help standing up.

This is correct.

Yer we knew this, just I thought the 2002 handbook was based off living rulebook 1.3 and its not in there. That also caused some confusion, so one more question would be, has this rules change been noted in the annual?

I don't think so Grumble ... because I don't think Andy realized that he accidently left in the can get help to stand sentence which he meant to delete.

Correct or not.
Wasn't it Jervis that wrote in the afterward to handbook that the BB Handbook plus the latest Annual were the "official" rules? I don't have my handbook at work, so I can't check.

Is this change in the 2002 or 2003 annual?

What we don't want is another round of Andy-bashing. This needs to be documneted in an annual. Fanatic has repeatedly asserted that not everyone has access to the internet. Therefore the hardcopy versions are the standard for play.

I don't think this change went through the BBRC. Weren't ANY changes made to LRB1.3 supposed to go through the BBRC?
