My thoughts on the Fanatic Invasion.
If the opposing coach is moving the player ... its an opposing player and you'd get CAS points. If you are moving the Fanatic ... and kill it running it into one of your own guys ... not an opposing player ... no CAS points.
That would be how I would rule it.

I know you knew. I was answering Cramy.Buggrit wrote:I know, that's why he won't get the SPP for it and I've modified the end score as a result of this. Although it won't affect the overall result, just the number of TD's I scored. 3-1 instead of 4-1.Snew wrote:He didn't score. He picked up the ball where it scattered forgetting that it's just marking the square it will come down in after the Kick off table results are resolved.

OK, I'm really missing something then.
LRB5 says:
I'm not arguing what is being said here. I just want to understand where the logic comes from. I just don't see it.
LRB5 says:
Touchdowns (TD): A player who scores a touchdown earns 3
Star Player points.
The gobbo, standing in the EZ with the ball in his hands, scored a TD, right? A TD was scored, and the gobbo is the one who caused the TD as he had the ball in his hands.SCORING TOUCHDOWNS IN YOUR TURN
A team scores a touchdown during their turn when one of their
players is standing in the opposing team’s End Zone while
holding the ball at the end of any of your players' Actions. As
soon as this happens, play stops, the crowd cheers and whistles
and cheerleaders dance about waving pom-poms. The coach of
the scoring team has our permission to leap about and cheer a
bit too, while moving the score marker one space along the
scoring track on the Playing Pitch.

The Goblin is not getting the SPPs because he scored a TD in an illegal manner. The TD is being stricken from the record.
He picked up the ball during the Blitz! Turn, and the ball cannot be picked up then because it's still 'in the air'.
As stated earlier, the only way to score directly from a Blitz! Turn is if the ball is landing in the End Zone and you manage to get a player underneath it to catch it.

Let's try this:
Like it's been pointed out, the only way to score on a Blitz is for the ball to scatter into the endzone and one of the Blitzing team's players getting under it during the Blitz. If he can do that then delcare the Blitz over, the ball will come down and that player has a chance to catch it. If he does does catch it and as soon as the opposing players turn starts you declare the TD and his turn is over.
Simple and clean huh?
Is it clear now?
I bolded the 2 pertinant parts of the sequence. During a Blitz the ball is not on the ground and it cannot be caught since it doesn not come down till after the KO table result is resolved.LRB5 pg 18 wrote:After both teams have set up, follow this
sequence in the order below:
• Place the ball on the pitch
• Scatter ball to determine where the ball is about to land
• Roll on the Kick-Off table
• Resolve the Kick-Off table result
• Bounce/ catch/or touchback the ball

Hi guys,
I don't think I was clear with my question.
I understand the sequence. What I don't understand is why the Gobbo would not get any SPPs. He is standing in the EZ, the ball bounces on him, and he catches it. Snew and Igor both state that this is a TD, which matches the sequence, and I definitely agree to that. But does the Gobbo get SPPs? From the previous posts, I inferred that he would not.
If the TD is legal as described above, does the Gobbo get SPPs for the TD?
