Most people skim the rules, pick up a general idea, then go back and read the key phrases when they need to.

Something like blocking (both the block action and act of blocking) is kinda spread throughout the rulebook, so it's hard to find the source section sometime, especially if you aren't familiar with the rules.

Galak, I think that as long as people can understand the rules when the appropriate sections are pointed out, you've done a fine job.

Of course there is a simple solution, call them something different. You know, there are the move, blitz, pass, foul, hand-off, and "attack" actions, and the blitz and block actions allow you to throw a "block" at someone.

I don't like that solution (namely because everything sounds better now) but it would be one way to eliminate the confusion.

If I had changed the Block Action to the Bash Action ... I would have had scores of folks revolting in the streets.

Yes it would be a lot easier to have a Bash and Blitz action during which you can throw a block during either but only a Blitz action can include movement (other than following up) and a block.

maybe a simple solution would be a little key for want of a better term outling some key phrases sucjh as the difference between Block and block. something along the lines of:

Block - the art of boxing someone's ears in
block - the action of hitting someone
blitz - the action of hitting someone either before, during or after a movement phase

this is probably the easiest to do, problem is though that space is at a premium already. maybe a little note in the faq's section?
