Well, given that Apo's can't be used on your OWN Star Players any more, even less sure they'd work on the oppo's!

JPS wrote: So while Digger is correct in how the skill is usually used, you could (for reasons passing understanding) take pity on an opponent and choose not to use it, or use it even when it won't change the result. (i.e. Using Mighty Blow to change an Injury Roll from a 2 to a 3 doesn't stun the player any worse - but you can still use it.)

This is true. When I was rolling tons of 9s [vs. stunties] with a MB character I opted not to use it. I still got the CAS but I didn't kill his team off.

Oddly that Karma paid off the next time I played him and he could have tore my team up but eased up instead ....

You wuss! Go play chess! :D

I definitely think you can argue that you could apoth an opponent. If you do though, they'd get to choose the result of CAS.

I may have been a wuss but at least we both had teams to play with after the back to back uneven games :)

Devil's Advocate: There are occassions where you need to prove a point [I.E. return grief to a griefer / fouls to a fouler / etc.]

What I don't understand is how the orc coach could foul the rat after having saved it with an apoth. It should have been moved to the reserves box and be safe from fouls.

Old rules made a player saved by the apo stay on the pitch face up.

In fact, when the apoth rules were simply "success is magically cured" there were tactical advantages for using your apoth on a KO just to keep your guy on the pitch.

Corrected for you.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

I remember once winning a game by using an Apoth on a Stunned Hobgoblin. He picked himself up, then the ball, scored, and was very happy. My opponent was not so happy.

All the best.
