"A player who makes an accurate pass" - was the pass Accurate? Y/N
"that is caught by a receiver from his own team in the targeted square of the pass when the ball comes to rest" - was in caught by the intended receiver? Y/N

Nowhere in that sentence does it say it has to be from the initial pass, just when the ball comes to rest.

And that was delibrate. And why ... because Blood Bowl is about incredible plays that become league stories. Like the accurate pass that the catcher only needed a 2+ to catch but he dropped the ball, it scattered to the opponent who failed the catch roll and went out of bounds and the resulting throw in went out of bounds again only to have it be thrown in directly to the original receiver who then catches the ball. And earns the thrower a completion SPP. Its all about the fun of the game and that is fun ... and yes I meant to write it that way.

But in that case, wouldn't it be more fun if the pass didn't even have to be accurate? Why not even allow completions from Hail Mary Passes?

A line gets drawn somewhere ... that was the point of the line for this one.

This thread made me chuckle. Arguing with the author about a rule is always lolsome!

Hey I didn't know he was the author. I like the justification for it though, say down and reread 4th and 5th ed versions and see the change in 6th.

It's funny and it won't overall impact on the game... But I think that HMP ought to be brought into line with the flukey pass roll.

Agreed ... especially since I really do try and avoid having Diva moments when arguing. Heck ... I've managed to barely post at all on the Cyanide thread that Claw is broken when clearly the main guy arguing is in la-la land on it.

I don't think that guy even believes himself anymore. I think he just likes being the protagonist for a thread thats soon going to be pushing 300 pages.

Why not?

Makes as much sense as awarding SPP for causing a casualty during a block.
