Change the wording to "If there are one or more players from the same team standing adjacent to the Really Stupid player’s square, and who don't have the Really Stupid skill, then add 2 to the D6 roll."

Oh, wait, probability of official errata is 0. :(

Hmmm, zero, eh? I like those odds!

Plus, being stupid is not a skill, and I should know, I are one.

I think somehow you didn't read my entire post.

If the player can still:
Block, Claw, Dodge (when blocked), Fend, Leader, Mighty Blow, Side Step, Stand Firm, Sure Hands (vs Strip Ball) and Wrestle

I see no reason at all they would not have the ability to goad them in the right direction or prod them with a stick while Gazed or Bone-head.

So let me be clear ... you and I see the skill the SAME way ... you just don't think that a player who can still Block and Wrestle has the presense of mind to goad a buddy Troll next to him while without a Tackle Zone ... and the BBRC did.

heck i would be happy if they couldn't use any of those skills when blocked (if hypnogazed). But i understood the reason, they are reactive skills not a pro active action. If you cant assist a block, you shouldn't be able to assist a Really Stupid Player. But oh well, rules is rules.

I think the fact this has been played wrong on fumbbl for 2 years and not single bug report has been filed for it until now (in a specific testing environment for the next release) speaks volumes lol. I will be interested to see how many bug reports get sent in once it is implemented correctly. I think there will be a fair few ;)

@Garion: one of my observations with Fumbblers is that they don't generally know the rules in depth, as evidenced by the learning curve many Fumbblers go through when arriving at Table Top/Real Life BB. On this basis I don't think it's the best argument to herald their lack of knowledge as speaking volumes of anything.

The rule, as written, is very clear IMHO. And hopefully the way I've broken it down should be fairly easy to code. If you disagree with it then that is a different matter, and on that score I don't really care how many people send in bug reports - if they try to play as needing a Tackle Zone IRL then they should expect to be pulled up and corrected. "Well FUMBBL doesn't do it that way" should never be put forwards as a support for any rules query.

That all said, I absolutely love FUMBBL and fully support what you guys do :D (hence why I try to be objective and help answer your query!)
