So what do you think if we put it on the Hotlist for next year?

I think this is a special section of the rules that need to be clarify and have a specific rule. It concerns only two skills: Block & Dodge, the two skills that affect the results of the block dice.

In my opinion, I would prefer to be obliged to use these skills because you simply have it and it is during the other player teamturn. Of course, it would b great to decide to use it or not whenever it is for the best but I think it would be to easy.
Anyway, that question leads me to another one: What if the blocker who blocks a gutter runner and as a result has the "pow if no dodge" and we assume that the other player must be pushed (he cannot choose not to be) has the tackle skill. What if the blocker has the tackle skill, he also can decide not to use it, to push him into the crowd, can't he?
To finish with that matter of pushing players into the crowd, a player who is blocking another one on the side (to push him into the crowd, but at one case) and has a choice of result of "total explosion" or "push back", must he always choose the explosion or can he pushes back to use frenzy and push him into the crowd? With my league friends, we decided that any player can choose the result of his dice, he does not have to choose explosion, excepted if he has the frenzy (we assume that a player qith this skill is really mad and prefer to knockover-and I think I had also already read it in previous rules or epsilon). Are we right? What is the officila rule?
Thx a lot.

But so are a lot of skills like shadowing or diving tackle, which you do not have to use, even in the other players turn.

I think Tackle is another problem. Does one actually use this skill or is it just the fact that a player has this skill, that the dodging player cannot use his dodge-skill.

New wording would have to imply an option. when blocking, the coach may choose to ignore the dodge skill in the player blocked.

The new rules definitely need a revision, with new, uniform and unambiguous descriptions of skills.

Don't get sidelined with tackle.

The only reason dodge is a special case (the rules are clear you choose to use skills) is because of the wording of the blocking results.
