... just to make sure, i used a wrong rule the whole time playing BB ?

If player A makes a successful handover to Player B turn of A ends and the Player B is not allowed to move later after some other players are moved... ?

Means... after A handovers the ball, B has to move immediatly after this " action ", if he want to move anyway.

Thanks for the help !

Aehm, no ...

The handover action is done by player A, he moves, picks up the ball if he doesn't have it already and finally hands the ball over to player B, who makes the catch roll immediatly, but not has to take his action directly afterwards.

The player receiving a handoff may take his action any time in the turn, before or after the handoff.

Tim's correct. It took my local leagues years to get round to finding out the correct rule. People weren't happy when I suggested we apply the official rules to our games.

Thanks a lot.... so Joker is right in our TBB league game and i used this rule the wrong way. Damm, its easier to use the rule this way... and i always moved the " hand-overed " player after the handover. instead waiting how the game situation is developing...

it's also a well known strategy in cage building play to move everyone into position like this

Code: Select all

..X
.X.
X.X
And then move a player with the ball to the remaining sport at the top left corner and hand the ball to the center player who has actually taken his action before the handoff.

Note that Hand Off is an action (made by player A). Catching the ball from the Hand Off is NOT an action. (player B). Therefore B could have moved before the handoff or can still move if he had not made an action before! :smoking:
