Just Curious

How should our league deal with minatures that are the size of big guys but aren't big guys, i.e. Deathroller and Hthark the Unstoppable? Are the tackle zones and movement just like big guys? Any other info on using these players in our league would be great!

Thanks :?:

Tackle zones and movement? Hmm.. In the current rules, those aren't affected by being a big guy. I'm assuming you are using some house rule variant where big guys take up more than one square on the board?

If you are, you really should consider switching to having them take up only one square. Makes alot more sense.

So, to answer your question, yes. Tackle zones and movement are just as for other big guys.. And at the same time, just as for any other player as well (Or well, technically, bonehead and really stupid big guys have special tacklezone rules.. But you know that).

from an older rule book.....
"they are centered on the crosses of squares and cover four squares on the field. They move from cross to cross. They have a facing direction and only have tackle zones in the 8 squares in front and the sides."
after looking in the living rule book it doesn't seem to address this at all, so i'm under the impression that if big guys are only gonna take up one square then thier movement and TZ's will be just like everyone elses?

also since its not mentioned the facing direction is void as well?

do they still receive a +1 to interception roll?

No special rules for Big Guys ...

one square occupied.
Normal movement and tackle zones
and no +1 to intercept ....

For thost that are wondering most of this was from 2nd edition.

Whooa! You're talking 2nd Edition rules here....waaaaaaay back. The change to 3rd Edition was a complete re-working and totally incompatible version of the game. The LRB is all you need. Ignore everything else.

Brought back some fond memories though....Ogre Blitzers and Blockers...5 hour epic bloodfests....*..sigh...*
