Star players and re-rolls

For some reason I was convinced stars couldn't use re-rolls but when asked to prove it I couldn't - is this the case or am I going mental?

Specifically it's for gobbo secret weapons

Theres no such rule in the LRB. The only mention of players not being able to use re-rolls is in the description of the racial characteristic "Big Guy".

Stars can use team-RR. Especially nasty on those Big Guy stars without Negatraits...

That's part of GenCon's Star Player rules though. Maybe that's what you were thinking of.

That is the only place I have seen it as well, though I wish it were an offical rule. Our league just house ruled that all freebooters couldn't use rerolls since they don't practice with the team.
