Hi,

Let's say a Norse Blitzer has the following skills:
Block, Frenzy, Jump Up, Piling On

Can he announce "blitz", move one square, drop an opponent (he got a pow! roll), use Piling On on the armour roll, use Jump Up and move four extra squares? All this on the same turn?

Looks like a nice combo if he can! :D

I'm pretty sure Jump up can only be used ta the start of an action, so no he can't.

Agree with Thadrin, but the skill combo is still great as it means he can Jump up at the start of the next turn, and move as normal.

Develop all four Norse blitzers along that line and you're good to go. They can't foul everyone, especially if you've already piled on to four of his players.

Jump up is definately only at the start of action.

Furthermore, you are not allowed to get up in an action where you piled on. An MA7 player can not declare blitz, flatten opponent, pay 3 MA to get back up, and then run with his remaining MA.

Is this true? It has just come up in our league, and I was curious about it. Can I get a ruling? (it's not covered, AFAIK, in the LRB)

Jump up is only at the start of the players action - As written in the skill description in the LRB.

Incidentally, the fact that this skill more useful for blocker types and not so useful for catcher types is exactly why I'd like to see it changed to "start of team turn".

But what about just spending 3 MA to get up? Send in the Minotaur, flatten somebody squishy, use PO for the Armor and MB on the block, and the get back up! Is this really possible?

No. Plain no.

It never was, and never will be. Forget you ever thought about something so silly.
