Catching a kick off

Post by Demonlude »

At the kick-off, the ball was kicked into the oppositions half, and I chose a free square 3 spaces from an opposing player. The ball bounced directly towards him for 6 spaces. Does the opposition get the chance to catch the ball as it’s bouncing past? If he does and he fails, does it then only scatter one square from his space?

No, he does not get an attemp to catch the ball.
The scattering of the ball is to show how bad you kicked it.
You aimed at one square but hit another 6 squares away.
So it never passes the opponent and thus he cannot try and catch it.
