Throw team mate

If an ogre want to throw a gobo and he needs a 6 for a long pass. Because his AG is 2 and for long pass is -2 for throwing. When there is a 3 on the dice is this a fumble? becuase 3 -2 is one and this is a fumble. My friend don´t think so. So what do you mean?

OK first of all without any modifiers the Orge would need a 5+ to throw the team mate accuratly

You then get a -2 to this for attempting a Long Pass making it a 6+ required to do this accuratly and would Fumble it on a 1 or 2

So in answer to your question on a 3-5 it is an Inaccurate Pass so the Gobbo would scatter 3 times as the rules say

Nope Ryan, You also fumble a long pass on a three! Three minus two is one in my book and a modified One result is called a fumble! But I guess you knew that and it's a typo!

Well it is in fact -1 one instead if you think about it cos you need to use 1 of the modifiers to make it a 6+ and THEN you start to increase the Fumble chance's

Rules state: Roll a die. Substract or Add modifiers, then apply the result.

Ogre throwing Long Pass Team Mate, counts as normal player throwing a Long Bomb so -2 on the TTM roll.

A fumble is on a modified 1 or less. So you get:

1-3 Fumble
4-5 Inaccurate
6 Accurate

(You would also get this throwing a ball if you have no modifying skills and have AG 2!)

Draco is correct. 1-3 on the die would be a fumble

Starting an Ogre team in my new home league, i made a little sheet ...

Code: Select all

                 AG2 AG3
           Acc. Inacc. Acc. Inacc.
Quick 5+ 2+ 4+ 2+
Short 6+ 3+ 5+ 3+
Long 6+ 4+ 6+ 4+
Bomb not allowed

Use Range as displayed on the pass template. Failed Inacc. is a Fumble.

I have another Question.
Wenn the landing of the trown Gobo failed and he is going down and the amour roll don´t break the amour he can stand up and could go.
The standing up. Does it cost 3 points of movement or not?

I hope you understand my question.

Yes it costs 3 MA. Unless the gobbo has jump up :)
Why wouldn't it?

i must point out that, starting with LRB5, it's no longer possible to throw a team mate at long pass range and that accurate throws are treated as inaccurate instead, so agility doesn't matter anymore for the thrower and the table becomes

Quick 2+
Short 3+
Long not allowed
Long Bomb not allowed

and don't forget modifiers from very sunny weather, tackle zones and Disturbing Presence (formerly part of Foul Appearance, now a separate skill)

additionally, skills (traits no longer exist) that can be used on a pass can also be used with Throw Team Mate, such as Accurate (P), Nerves of Steel (P), Pass (P), Strong Arm (S, treemen start with it), but not Hail Mary Pass, Dump-Off, Pass Block (as TTM can't be intercepted, Safe Throw would have no effect)

last question about this:

At Right Stuff ist written:

If the landing roll is failed or he landed on another player during the throw he is placed prone and must pass an amour roll to avoid injury.

Does it mean that a thrown Gobo is landing after scattering on a player, this player ist knocked down. And than the gobo scatters and is landing on another player. Is the gobo then knock down or scatters in an empty square.

Thanks for answers.

The goblin can only land on one player. The skill description for Throw Team-Mate says:

If the thrown player would land on another player, continue to scatter the thrown player until he ends up in an empty square or off the pitch (i.e. he cannot land on more than one player)

meanwhile, the description for Right Stuff says:

If the landing roll is failed or he landed on another player during the throw he is Placed Prone and must pass an Armour roll to avoid injury

so if the goblin lands on a player he has no chance of landing on his feet and is automatically placed prone and then an armour roll is made.

I assume Safe Throw helps TTM in LRB6?

Safe Throw (Passing)
In addition if this player fumbles a pass on any roll other than a natural 1 then he manages to keep hold of the ball instead of suffering a fumble and the team does not suffer a turnover.

Good question.
I guess it could be read either way.

IMO, the (potential) problem is that the skill description mentions keeping hold of the ball - which is not the same thing as not dropping a player.

What, the troll or Ogre would keep holding the player until his next turn? Hahahaha! No.
