Goblins and their starplayers with weapons

Post by Carloz »

We're playing a little tournament and I'm playing with gobs. I earned 70.000gp after my first match so I like to hire some starplayers with secret weapons. After reading this chapter in the LRB I still have some questions. :-?

Ball and chain:
1) Can I reroll the exhausted roll after a turn with Fungus?
2) Can I reroll a block with the ball and chain?

bombs
3) Can I reroll the lightning of the fuse?
4) The normal fumble rolls counts for throwing a bomb?
5) Can I pass it to a teammate? Who maybe can catch it and throw it again? I know it's stupid, but these are gobs you know

Chainsaw
6) Can I reroll starting the chainsaw?

A lot of questions but thanks anyway :)

Yes to all.

Regarding rerolls: There is no difference between star players and regular players concerning rerolls.

another question about weapons?
When do you have to make the first penalty-roll? At the beginning of the match or at the end of the first drive?
Assuming you're placing the starplayers on the field

You make the roll at the end of the drive that the weapons was fielded. And only then.

As long as they are still on the field at the end of the drive. If he gets knocked out or pushed out of bounds then no penalty roll is made.

Wrong. The rules state that the roll is made at the end of the drive. There is no exception stated for players that are no longer on the field.

Totally correct sir! I was skimming that bit the other night for a mate asking this question and thought that I'd always had it wrong (turns out I hadn't!)... guess that's what I get for re-reading the rules when I've been enjoying my good freind Jack Daniels' company  .

Scratch my reply. Sorry all.
*skulks away sheepishly feeling pretty bloody stupid indeed*

Two things to learn from this..
1 - Igor knows jack.
2 - Reading rules 'on pop' is not a good way to revise your knowledge
