Throwing to an empty square

Post by Arcsi Simal »

Hi Troops,

Was wondering what the ruling is on throwing the ball to an empty square, say you were under pressure nowhere to run to and thought well the opposing team has 1 turn left and no chance off getting a TD so i will throw the ball to and empty square at the end of the throwing template, then do scatters shoud it be in accurate, Cheers.

Totally legit move and one I've done several times with my Halfling team myself (especially if I think the next turn I can use Throw Team-Mate to get a player near the ball).

I have an other question about the rule of throwing to an empty square:

If you throw it to an empty square, and it is accurate, does this then result in a turn-over Or will u still be able to pick up the ball with an other player?

The pass has to end up in the hands of a player on your team to avoid a turnover.

yeah so just make sure it's the LAST thing you had planned to do that turn, becuase it will be the LAST thing you do that turn either way. :)

If the pass is made to an empty square and is accurate it will bounce once after landing.
If noone manage to catch this bouncing ball it is a turnover.
