Hi,

I have a question regarding the following interception situation:
Is a "non-active" player (either by being bonehead, really stupid or gazed) allowed to intercept a pass that is being thrown over him?

Fluff-wise he should not be able to, but from reading the interception and bonehead-rules it is nowhere stated that he may NOT intercept.

An interception is treated as a catch-roll, so he may not intercept.

Thanks for your quick reply Slup . However, the rules for Bone Head/Really Stupid do not state that the player may not catch a Ball either. The rules say

The player can't do anything for the turn...
The player loses his tackle zone until he manages to roll a 2 or better at the start of an action

The interception happens in the opponent's turn so technically (but not logically, I know ) he should be able to intercept or even catch a bouncing ball. Or am I still missing something?

The player loses his tackle zone and may not catch or pass the ball, assist either player on a block or foul, or move voluntarily until he manages to roll a 2 or better at the start of a future action.

thanks again for your quick reply. It seems that I have looked it up in my LRB 3.0-rulebook and that they have already clarified it it version 4.0.
