Hi, I don't know if this topic has been solved before, but has someone devised a metod for passing that does not use the range ruler?
Are there any advantages to it or is easier just to stick to the old ruler?
thanks a lot.

Noticed no one has answered....

Sorry it took me so long. Yes, I use the DangerMouse graphic to determine pass range

though it seems the website is gone  (at least it's not responding to my browser today)

You still need the ruler to check for interceptions, but no more hassling over where the center or the line is.

You can count squares, then just extend it out a little to see if any interceptions.

You can also have a look at the Lose-o-graph:

Pretty self explanatory

lose-o-graph requires login to access the xls file....

I have a spreadsheet I made here with the ranges. but like said above, you still need to use the ruler itself to determine which interceptions are legal. http://trollserver.com/bb/teams/dave_m/ ... mplate.xls

Just checked and it worked fine here. Is there anyone else who is unable to access it?

I'll throw the monkey wrench in... :o

In case people haven't checked, the actual board isn't completely square. the squares are actually slightly longer one way.

Thus the ruler is the only way to make sure...

I think DM's chart is incorrect since it doesn't account for the line crossing the square rule change.

This old chestnut again.

Just pick up the range ruler. It's quicker than any grid and instantly clears up interceptions. Anyone who finds it too vague and 'must have a definitive answer or I'll die' should steer well clear of all the other GW games... the stress will kill you
