If player A hits player B, rolls "attacker down" and gets a serious injury. Does player B get SPP.

Yes, absolutely.
If a player causes an opposing player to be removed as a Casualty then they earn 2 Star Player points. The points are only earned if the player blocks an opponent or is blocked by an opponent himself.
My emphasis. This is a quote from the PBBL (so I could cut and paste), but the LRB4 reads to the same effect (page 39).

I am using LRB5. Not sure if it is in there. Must have missed it. Makes sense though.

Thanks

My quote is from LRB5, just to clarify. :) Page 33.

Really? My bad. Still getting used to this whole reading thing. Probably read what I needed to and skipped the rest of the sentence.

Thanks anyways for pointing out my ineptitude.

I am going to go cry in the corner now.

Don't cry. Roll some dice and look up more rules, pop in here and ask if there's anything confusing and you'll be an expert in no time.
